they call it wanderlust

Oh it was wonderful, James! I had never been there, and I had never seen some of the strange things there, but it felt like home to me. And to think I never knew the place existed.

-from The Blank Page my book in progress

Wanderlust. Yes, that is a very good word for it. for the feeling of homesickness, but not the regular kind- the kind you feel for a place you've never been. for a new and exciting place. because you don't want that place to just be a picture or a story- you want it to become familiar to you too. to wander there as a vagabond, so that place can help carry some of your story.

And to think I never knew the place existed. yes, I've definitely experienced that feeling. with the chocolate shop in pagosa springs, with the farris wheel by the beach, the little cove with colorful stones by the lake-  how many more places like that are just waiting for me out there?

yes, i really do have a bad case of wanderlust. it's eating me up inside, it's pulling me to the window at night to look at the stars, it's dancing just over that rainbow in a teasing way, it's whispering the stories of all the things beyond that horizon, what does it look like from that hill, I wonder if that tree will hold me, is this map really telling the truth?

I want to stop wondering and just wander.

if you chase two rabbits they will both get away

quote love: somewhere out there, something is waiting to be known. -- Carl Sagen

yes,  I know, I just disappeared off the face of the earth this November, without saying so, or waving goodbye, or leaving a note, and I had no right to do so. The thing is I really meant to do all three, saying that I would be too busy this month to post much, but I waited too long and never got a chance.  So pull up a chair, have some tea, (or eggnog as I prefer this time of year) and we will do some badly needed catching up.

NaNoWriMo was a fail. If only it were any other month but November!
my goal: 50,000
my achievement: 725
*fail*

I hope you had a good thanksgiving, This is one of those times I'm very thankful for having a large family. *Three Thanksgiving dinners*

I also went on vacation and saw the ocean for the first time since I was one.
That was particularly terrifical, if I do say so. (prepare yourself for a legion of pictures)

Disney Land was twice as better, because it was all decorated for Christmas.

(ugh, i look ridiculous in that picture) funny story, I lost my sunglasses in Disney land, so I went to the lost and found and they said if they found them they would mail them to me. They mailed me some a few days ago, and although they are almost exactly the same I can tell they aren't mine. I switched glasses with some unknown person in Disney land. I'm not quite sure how I should feel about that :/

This is so Holly's future car.

my mum gets most of the photo credit :)

I'm so glad to be back to blogging, and a personal thank you to you guys who did not hit the *stop following* button. You are very much appreciated :)
and so I end with this picture that I love oh so much:

Dysania

listening to: Drink the cleansing rain by Sonya M. Trinidad
quote love: The heart has its reasons of which reason knows nothing. -Blaise Pascal

*yesterday*

Me: Mom. I can't go to school today. I have Dysania, it's awful.
Mom: uh, what's that?

Dysania-
The state of finding it hard to get out of bed in the morning

I had to do school any way. *sigh*
Something else that happened yesterday- Holly was testing out her hand writing, and she wrote this on the dry erase board-

Hey. You know how when you read something and it's supposed to be talking to you, whoever is reading this? Ya, and you know how you kind of make up a voice in your head that belongs to the text your reading that's supposed to be talking to you? You know you do it! How does my voice sound to you? :)

bahaha, ya that's what it's like living with Holly x)
It's a beautiful drizzling rain weather outside. (um not helping my dysania) It's gorgeous! oh camera, why you no water proof?

Picture by me, quote by Sonya Trinidad. Of course I just have to listen to drink the cleansing rain. She has such a beautiful voice! And oh this wonderful fall weather.
Fall is coming a little too slowly here.

I'm just a little impatient for it to get here, with all its wonderful fall delights

rain+blanket+jeans+tea in an eeyore cup= the most heavenly fall day.

oh, did you know? I have newspaper nails *Thank you Rachel!*

I did these a few days ago so they're a little chipped in the picture, *cringe* but i love them. How about you?

You'll need:

-white or light gray nail polish
   -rubbing alcohol
   -cotton balls
-newspaper clippings a little bigger than your nails
   -a sealing coat nail polish

Paint your nails white or gray and let them fry er, dry completely (i always like to do one of my nails differently)

Once they're dry, soak one of the newspaper clippings in rubbing alcohol. I found the best way to do this was to soak the cotton ball, and then use it to soak the newspaper.

Place the newspaper on your nail and hold it there for around twenty seconds. make sure your pressing hard on all edges of your nail (so don't just let it sit like in the picture!)

Once it seems it has dried onto your nail, quickly rip it off (like a band-aid!). Then apply the top coat. When I did mine, it just seemed like there was paper on my nail, but after I put the top coat on it was fine.

And that's it ^.^

my access to the internet has been very limited lately, so that is why my posts are flowing like tar, in case you were wondering. Not to mention school. oh good old homework, you know I didn't really mean it when I tossed you in the air and did a little dance last may... Why must you be so hard this year? but I think I deserve a good grade in PE. We went hiking on Sunday, two miles up the winding mountain trail, and we kept up with the people on horses. I think that gets me an A yes? of course yes. When the trees opened up, and we reached the top I may or may not have started singing "and at last I see the light...!"

some pictures taken by me, and some by mom

It was unbelievably gorgeous at the top. Some pictures just don't do justice.

One day I will *somehow* take an old piano up here and just play for hours and hours- starting with Echo off the sky. Magical.

And on the way down i picked a bouquet ^.^

I'm back

This is what I did this past week and a half-

I went to Florida

Yup. Can't get much better than that :) Fun fact- It was freezing. It was actually very nice outside, but I was inside most of the time. Where they had air conditioner. Very high. So, it was cold ;)
It was amazing either way. I met some great friends, learned a lot, and laughed too much for my own good.

I caught a cold

I have to be honest. It's not fun. *a-choo/sniff* This was a kind of down part of the week ;)

I bought red heels

oh yes. This, I am happy about :)

I got a calligraphy pen

Hey, they're pretty cool to write with k? Not to mention cool looking. ya, I'm a nerd. sue me.

My phone died

I mean, it's like dead. Sam is dead. Sam is my phone, and he's dead. This might be the saddest part of the week.

I was given a red umbrella for my birthday

oh ya, did I mention it was my birthday? :D I'm pretty happy about that also.
so now I have red heels and a red umbrella. Can life get any sweeter? Answer: yes. If you have cookie dough ice cream. which i did :)

I got on Pinterest

Well, that's half true. you need a facebook for pinterest. I do not have facebook. so I'm sharing with someone else, and i just have one board for all my pictures. you should see it. please?

I read Abomanation

I love Colleen Coble's books (i have read three). Great plot twists and wonderful characters.  I also started reading: Pride and prejudice, Wuthering Heights, and A Man called Blessed

I started school

*sigh* yes, unfortunately. Summer is over and it's back to highschool :P

Lots of up and downs this week, but overall, it was lovely. So tell me, (because i would like to know) what have you been doing?

The other night...

Holly and I decided to camp in the backyard. It was kind of a last miniute decision.
So there we were, putting up a tent.
In the dark.
While it was raining.
*Ya* not our most terrifical idea ever.
Ofcourse it just had to start raining as soon as we decided to do it. I think the only reason we didn't quit was because my dad said we couldn't do it. So we stayed the whole night in the tent while it was raining. In the morning I collapsed asleep inside while Holly finished taking down the tent just as fast as she could. She was done with it ;)
I know this sounds weird, but it was a lot of fun :)
In a strange kind of way...
